The picture at the top shows an astonishing pied/leucistic blackbird (Turdus merula), at 14:02 on Monday 14th March 2022, Hythe, Hampshire.

NB: Leucism is a genetic condition in animals, resulting in partial loss of pigmentation in feathers or fur, ie this blackbird (normally all black) has patches of white feathers. A rarity.
